About Faith
A curious mind. A thoughtful teacher.
Faith Palombi brings a background in physics, Spanish, software engineering, and classroom teaching to her work with learners.

Understanding is something you build.
Faith’s path has taken her from analyzing physics data to building software and teaching calculus. Across those settings, she has worked with ideas that become clearer through questions, models, and practice.
She taught AP Calculus BC and Algebra 2 for four years, developing her own AP Calculus materials and adapting her explanations to students with different starting points. Today, she works with students one-to-one online.
Language opens another door.
Alongside engineering physics, Faith studied Spanish language and cultures at Westmont College. Her experience includes undergraduate Spanish teaching assistance, studying literature and culture in Seville, and an internship with Immigration Hope supporting citizenship preparation.
That background gives her Spanish teaching a connection to people and everyday communication, alongside grammar, reading, and writing.
A path through science and teaching
2017–2021 · Westmont College
Two fields, shared curiosity
Studied engineering physics and Spanish language and cultures as an Augustinian Scholar. Undergraduate work included computational physics and nuclear-physics research.
2021–2022 · General Motors
Building software for the real world
Worked on a dealership web platform serving South American markets, contributing to database-backed features and maintaining automated unit tests.
Classroom teaching · Cedar Ridge High School
Making room for different learners
Taught AP Calculus BC and Algebra 2, including both on-level and inclusion classes. Created AP Calculus lessons and adjusted pace and explanations across a wide range of student needs.
Summers 2024 & 2025 · UT Austin
Bringing research into the classroom
Participated in Research Experiences for Teachers, with work spanning materials and optics research, prototyping an experimental platform, and developing hands-on curriculum.
Ideas you can explore
Faith is a co-author of published lessons on pendulum art and sport design, and second author of a peer-reviewed nuclear-physics paper. The projects show different sides of the same practice: observing carefully, testing ideas, and finding a clear way to explain what happens.
